Okinawa Seidokan is a style of Okinawa classical karate and Kobudo founded in 1984 by Shian Toma. It is a synthesis of the Shorin Ryu katas, Motobu Ryu two-person open hand grappling and weapons techniques, and Kobudo katas mostly of the Ryukyu Kobudo lineages.

Very closely resembling the Seibukan Shorin-Ryū Seisan from the same lineage the Okinawa Seidokan system traditionally teaches Matsumura-no-Seisan as the first kata in their curriculum. Though not considered a basic kata, the Okinawa Seidokan version is foundational in teaching koshi (trunkial twist power) from a beginners onset.

The Motobu Peninsula (本部半島, Motobu hantō, Okinawan: Mutubu) is a peninsula in the Yanbaru region of Okinawa Island. It is surrounded by Nago Bay to the east, the Haneda Inland Sea to the north, and the East China Sea to the west. [1] [2] It is mostly mountainous, with a few plains. The peninsula's northeasternmost point is Cape Bise. [3]
The Yaeyama Islands are home to numerous species of subtropical and tropical plants and mangrove forests. [3] [11] The islands produce sugarcane and pineapples.[2] [12]Coral reefs around the islands are ideal habitats for dolphins, sea turtles, and larger fish such as manta rays and whale sharks.
