Glacier Point is a viewpoint above Yosemite Valley in the U.S. state of California. It is located on the south wall of Yosemite Valley at an elevation of 7,214 feet (2,199 m), 3,200 feet (980 m) above Curry Village .
Merced Peak, with an elevation of 11,731 feet (3,576 m), is the highest point in the Clark Range, [1] just surpassing three other peaks; Red Peak (11,704 feet), [5] Gray Peak (11,578 feet), [6] and Mount Clark (11,527 feet). Merced Peak is located close to southern border of Yosemite National Park, near the Ottoway Lakes.
A shuttle bus from Yosemite Valley to Glacier Point is available for a fee from June to October, when Glacier Point Road is open. The bus leaves the Yosemite Lodge at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and takes a little over an hour to get to Glacier Point. There is no regular shuttle bus service from Glacier Point down to Yosemite Valley. [3] [4]

During the summer, shuttle buses from the floor of the valley will take an hour to arrive at Glacier Point. Hikers have the option of taking a shuttle bus one-way from the valley floor to Glacier Point, then hiking on the Panorama Trail from Glacier Point down to the top of the Mist Trail at Nevada Fall.
