Toledo (UK: / t ɒ ˈ l eɪ d oʊ / tol-AY-doh; [3] Spanish: ⓘ) is a city and municipality of Spain, the capital of the province of Toledo and the de jure seat of the government and parliament of the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha.
The Parador is located both in the Palacio Viejo (Old Palace), also known as the Palacio Doña Elvira, which dates from the end of the 14th century, and in the Palacio Nuevo (Oropesa) (New Palace), also known as the Palacio de los Álvarez de Toledo, which was built in the 16th century.
The Castle of San Servando is a medieval castle in Toledo, Spain, near the Tagus River. It was begun as a monastery, occupied first by monks and later by the Knights Templar. In 1874 the castle was named a national monument. The fortress was depicted in El Greco's painting View of Toledo.
