The Governor Blanchard de la Brosse named the school Lycée Petrus Trương Vĩnh Ký, in honour of Vietnamese Catholic scholar Pétrus Trương Vĩnh Ký. The school was known as Petrus Ký High School for almost a half-century. Lycée Petrus Truong Vinh Ky, commonly referred to as Lycée Petrus, commenced the first day on October 1, 1928.
In August 2023, Victoria School - Saigon South was officially inaugurated in Nhà Bè district, Hồ Chí Minh City. [9] [10] The school was designed by architect Võ Trọng Nghĩa, and the 20,000 square meter campus is covered by a green tree system, creating a cool, airy green space. [1] [11]
In 1969, the school rented some rooms from Nhan Van Private School (now Banh Van Tran Primary School) to conduct its first academic year 1969/1970. In the next academic year, 1970/1971, the school relocated to its present location due to the completion of the campus construction. The new campus was a two-storeyed building with 12 rooms.
