Maybe a fuse. Or may be PTO switch itself. Voltmeter will give you direction. PTO switch usually relays 12 V DC to PTO relay, which sends it to clutch. However, PTO switch might just send a ground to the PTO relay to operate it. Manufacturer can do it either way. If done this way, then 12 VDC would be present on relay all of the time.
I am working on a 1440 for a friend. The discharge light stays on when the electric PTO is engaged. After a time the PTO wil not engage at all. He has a new battery. All of my experience is with the 1X8 and 1X9 series. Any ideas?? Thanks
After that "unplug" the wire cluster from the PTO switch casing. Use compressed air to blow out the terminals in the wire cluster, then take an old toothbrush and clean off the prongs on the PTO switch casing. Plug the wire cluster back into the PTO switch then put the battery back in. Voila! Hopefully it will work for you. Good luck man!
2. The PTO switch works. When I try to start the mower with PTO switch on, it will not start. Turn it off and it fires right up so I know the switch itself is good. 3. PTO fuse is good. I pulled it an inspected it - no issues there. I have come to the conclusion that I may have burned the PTO clutch up by bogging the mower down.
I just purchased another Cub Cadet 1330. It' a rugged and well-built machine with a steel frame and this purchase marks my fourth Cub Cadet 1330. One of those cubs is set up permanently with a snow blower and the other two 1330s are for my wife and me. I originally purchased this mower for parts which are becoming scarce and expensive.
Oct 5, 2012 / Cub Cadet LTZ1050 PTO won't engage #2 First check the fuse's or circuit breaker's if fitted, with a meter or see you have 12+ in and out on them.
Howdy to all,it's been a while since I posted on the new 2072 project.I managed to get the pto clutch working by moving it back and forth by hand a few time,I also installed a new pto switch.I replaced the ignition switch and finally got it to work, I discovered the metal brake lever bracket that pushes in the safety switch had broke off and is ...
I have a 2011 Cub Cadet GTX 1054 and the electric clutch won't engage when the key is in the normal green key position. If the key is in the reverse acknowledge position with the button pushed in (red light on) the PTO will engage. I swapped the RMC module/Ignition switch with my Cub Cadet zero turn and it worked correctly on the zero turn.

I have a 2007 Cub Cadet i1050 mower. I took it out for the first lawn cutting of the year today. I encountered a problem with the electric PTO. I believe that I have isolated the problem but a confirmation would be nice. Problem: I can not engage the PTO (blades) when in the 'Normal' position on the key switch.
