Tony Richards is an American musician who was the original drummer of classic heavy metal band W.A.S.P. from 1982 until 1984.. Richards played for various bands in his early career before relocating to the Los Angeles area from Phoenix, AZ in 1980.
Musicians to emerge from this era include Alice Cooper, and Bill Spooner of The Tubes. The group Pages was formed by Phoenix residents Richard Page and Steve George , who later formed the nucleus of the Phoenix pop-rock group Mr. Mister (who had 2 #1 Hot 100 hits, including " Broken Wings " in 1985).
[1] [3] After winning a Tucson battle of the bands contest, the Intruders were awarded a recording contract with a small label, Gallantry Records, whose recording studio was located in the owners' living room. [1] [3] Their debut single, "Every Time It's You," b/w Let me Stay appeared on the Gallantry label in 1964.

Kinch is an indie pop band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their sound has been described as "an alt-rock pop style reminiscent of a few Brit bands, hearkening back to the sensibilities of '60s garage rock." [1] The band's debut album, Advances, was honored as the Best Arizona Album of 2008 by the Phoenix New Times. [2]
