Warwick (/ ˈ w ɒr ɪ k / WORR-ik or / ˈ w ɔːr w ɪ k / WOR-wik [5]) is a city in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States, and is the third-largest city in the state, with a population of 82,823 at the 2020 census.
Oliver Wolf Sacks (9 July 1933 – 30 August 2015) was a British neurologist, naturalist, historian of science, and writer. [2] Born in London, Sacks received his medical degree in 1958 from The Queen's College, Oxford, before moving to the United States, where he spent most of his career.
The first light on the site was built in 1827. The original keeper's residence was replaced in 1899. The current structure at Warwick Neck was built on the site in 1932. In 1985, the light was the last Rhode Island lighthouse automated. The light was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as Warwick Lighthouse.
