The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) is one of the major foreign affairs organizations of the People's Republic of China.The organization is officially termed a "people's organization" and manages China's sister city relationships.
The China Friendship and Peace Development Foundation was established on May 15, 1996. On December 14, 2021, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China publicly announced the "2020 National Social Organization Evaluation Grade", in which the China Foundation for Friendship and Peaceful Development successfully achieved a 4A rating.
Notable members of the National Steering Committee included Koji Ariyoshi, a veteran of the World War II Dixie Mission to Yenan and founder of the Hawaii-China Friendship Association, and New York activists Helen V. Rosen and Esther Gollobin. The Koji Ariyoshi Award, established after his death in 1976, is the organization's highest honor.

Starting in Book IV, grammar explanations are no longer provided in English. Books V and VI consist of 30 lessons with more than 3,000 words and everyday expressions. The foreign students of Chinese, Palanka, and Gubo, are no longer included in Books V and VI. Book V contains original essays and works on a wide range of themes and affairs in China.
