The Grove, also known as Loretto Rest, is a historic house located on Grove Court in Cold Spring, New York, United States.It was built as the estate of Frederick Lente, surgeon at the nearby West Point Foundry and later a founder of the American Academy of Medicine, in the mid-19th century.

The Cemetery grew from the first graves around the church in 1833 to fill much of the church property now occupied. In 1915, nine acres in Barclay Heights were purchased for a new cemetery. [2] In 1837 Rev. Patrick Duffy became pastor of Our Lady of Loretto in Cold Spring and took over the missions in Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, and Saugerties.
The church was dedicated by Bishop DuBois on November 26, 1837. Rev. Patrick Duffy, pastor of Our Lady of Loreto Parish in Cold Springs who had been charged with the spiritual care of Poughkeepsie was then transferred to Newburgh. Rev. John McGinnis was named first pastor of St. Peter's Parish in Poughkeepsie.
