Jeddah College of Technology is a governmental technical college located in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, was established in 1986 as part of the Saudi government's plan to develop technical and vocational education and training in the country. The college focuses on technical and vocational training to prepare students for careers.
The College offers undergraduate, post-graduate and honours academic courses and research degrees. Course offerings include the MChD (Latin: Medicinae ac Chirurgiae Doctoranda) program through the ANU Medical School, studies in biotechnology, genetics, health science, medical science, psychology, and science; and the only Bachelor of Philosophy (PhB) program in Australia.
The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) was established in 1993, and the Research School joined in 2004 to form a single institute that would become ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) on 1 January 2006. In October 2022, the College was renamed to ANU College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics.
GhanaSat-1 was designed, assembled, and tested by three students from the university. [8] The project was supported by Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) as part of the Joint Global Multi-Nation Birds Satellite project, which is a cross-border interdisciplinary satellite project for non-space faring countries supported by Japan.
