Apparently Jerry Garcia was stationed at Fort Winfield in the San Francisco Presidio until his discharge for bad behavior. It seems to me there is very little info in this article about the actual military functions. Since it is sited as having the longest use, it would be nice to know what it was used for all that time, if anyone has info.
