    forums.redflagdeals.com/peel-region-only-what-your-avarage-monthly-quarterly...

My water bill is about 75-80 a month in Windsor, for 10-12 CM a month... I'd have to lookup the breakdown of charges, but I believe it's about $2.50 for the actual water, the rest is fees and surcharges all based off the water usage.. If i cut the water off at the shutoff for the month it'd still be in the 50's though..

Peel is not subsidizing water or sewer rates, and has not for many years. They have been charging extra since the mid 1970s to build their infrastructure and pay for future expansion projects, so overall they may be better off financially than other regions. I am also in Peel, and mine breaks down to (3 months ending Feb 2/09) water 6m x 6.4204 ...

    forums.redflagdeals.com/toronto-water-waste-bill-transferring-tenant-2366496

It seems it isn't possible to transfer the Toronto Water/Waste bill to a tenant -- is this correct? According to Toronto.ca, the landlord remains solely responsible for paying water/waste bill, but if I want to add the tenant as a designate to _also_ receive the bill, I can add them for $18.79/per bill. Curious how other landlords have managed ...

The cost of water and the cost to dispose of wastewater went up April 1. So your bill is showing the amount at the old rate and the amount at the new. I haven't checked the details but I expect they used average daily usage. e.g. took a reading to calculate total 3 month usage divided that by the total number of days to get daily usage

I would contact Peel Region water services billing and point out that you started a new water service account on or near your closing date and that the property had been sold. The lawyer may have a forwarding address of the seller through the sellers lawyer.

  10. Peel Waste Bins - User Fees Survey - RedFlagDeals.com Forums

    forums.redflagdeals.com/peel-waste-bins-user-fees-survey-2360473

Peel Region effectively implemented an extra fee a decade ago when they went to the two-bag limit, forcing you to buy stickers for additional bags. There is absolutely nothing stopping them from adding a new fee to your regional tax bill based on the size of your garbage bin. From the old thread.

  11. Unpaid water bill added to property tax. Bought a house in Jan 2020 in Brampton. As per lawyer documents, property tax was all paid up. Apparently they didn’t pay their last water bill, which was never added to my water bill account. Instead, I just received an overdue amount on my tax bill (2021) for ~300, which includes the ...
