The path of the medium/heavy tree is painful for US. The lower shermans actually do well in the lower BRs, but when you start getting to 5.3-5.7 German tanks can feel like juggernauts. I switched to the light tank tree and never looked back. US light tanks and Tank Destroyers are really good.

Sep 14, 2017. #2. Hello.A french specialist has told me that from 1961 to 1969,the US army has lost 300 tanks (Sheridan,M 46 and M 48) and 300 others armoured vehicles. It makes an estimation of 5-6 vehicles lost each month during nine years. US tanks are pretty good around the tier your in, you just gotta know how to play them correctly. The jumbos really shine when you angle their armor, same with the Shermans ...

6.7 is my favorite US lineup. T26E5 can brawl and win against multiple enemies, you just need to avoid being flanked. But even if they hit you from the side, at the longer range it will probably bounce the shell. Tiger and IS2 can pen you, but only if they know how. Also you have mobiliy over them.

And for any tank in the game APCR is the worst shell you can equip, I’ve played the game for years and only successfully used apcr a handful of times. Aim for either side of the gun on both Russian and German tanks and you will normally kill them upon penetration. 1. Award. im fairly new to the game and am going down the US tank tree.

  8. is US tanks worth going down or should I use a different nation?

Yes. US 8.0, 9.3, 10.3 and 10.7 are some of the strongest lineups in the game, full stop. The Abrams tanks are the best MBTs in terms of the balance in mobility, firepower, and survivability. You outreload the majority of enemies you face, you get to position very quickly, your armor is trolly against panic shots, and your spaced crew and ...

  9. best Rank IV and V lineup? (USA) : r/Warthunder - Reddit

Later on, the main power of the US Ground tree is the still excellent light tanks. The later medium and heavy tanks are mostly mediocre, with a couple of exceptions. The SPAA is horrible for a good long while and the T95 Doom Turtle is an acquired taste. In Ground RB, you can also benefit from the excellent CAS options available to the US.

    RB: M6A1,M19 (+ M24) + T14, T55E1 + P-47 + BTD-1. AB: M6A1, M18 (+ M4A2) + T14, T55E1. Both lineups are good if you have T14, otherwise you might be short on vehicles occasionaly. T14, M6A1, M4A2, M18, M19. For RB change the M18 out for an M24 and maybe the M19 or M4A2 for a P47. I am currently playing the usa ground tree (my first and only ...

On the other hand, experienced players can singlehandedly hold Rommel's division. US tanks, especially the Shermans, really fit into WT's gameplay. No matter how big the map is, it always comes down to CQC on cap points (where Sherman tanks with their stabs absolutely shines). In other words, players good = BR raise. 4.
