The Brandywine Center campus is located on Boot Road in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Opened in fall 2012, the 175,000 sq ft (16,300 m 2) building sits on 8.7 acres (0.035 km 2). The campus partners with the CCIU to offer career and technical education programs as well as college credit courses to students of Technical College High School Brandywine.
The Pennsylvania legislature passed the Community College Act in 1963, and officials in Allegheny County began creating a local community college. County residents voted to fund the project in May 1965, and the first 15-member board of trustees was sworn in that December. [1]
