William Dexter Coakley (born October 20, 1972) is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in Division I-AA for the Appalachian State Mountaineers , and was selected in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys .
