William Maher (/ m ɑːr / MAR; born January 20, 1956) [2] is an American comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host. He is popularly known for the HBO political talk show Real Time with Bill Maher (2003–present) and the similar late-night show called Politically Incorrect (1993–2002), originally on Comedy Central and later on ABC.
The show's second season aired in 2014 and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Informational Series or Special. [1] The show originally was executive-produced by Bill Maher, Shane Smith, and Eddy Moretti, and CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria was credited as a consultant. [2] [3] On May 7, 2014, HBO renewed the series for two more seasons.
She has guest co-hosted The View [6] and co-hosted Fox News' Glenn Beck while Beck was on the road with his "Unelectable" show. She has also appeared on the HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher.
