Penilaian Menengah Rendah (commonly abbreviated as PMR; Malay for Lower Secondary Assessment) was a Malaysian public examination targeting Malaysian adolescents and young adults between the ages of 13 and 30 years taken by all Form Three high school and college students in both government and private schools throughout the country from independence in 1957 to 2013.
The school was built in 1943 by Allahyarham Tuan Haji Ibrahim b Mohd Akim, the Village Head of Kampung Sungai Manggis. In 1945, the administration of the school was taken over by the Selangor State government and under the management of Selangor Islamic Council (Majlis Agama Islam Selangor).
According to the Malaysian Public Services Department, lecturers shall contribute 50% in teaching and supervision, 20% in research and publication, 5% in academic leadership, 5% in consultation, 10% in university service, and 10% in community service.
