Kaneki and Eto fight, running from the windows towards the roof of the hideout. Kaneki destroys her kakuja, ripping her apart. Eto falls from the building while declaring her love for him. Kori Ui finds Kaneki devouring Eto's kakuja on the roof. Kaneki pretends to still be Sasaki and throws Tsukiyama from the building.
Kaneki walks toward the CCG, carrying Hide's body in his arms, and faces Arima to battle. The next morning, Kaneki, Hide and Amon have vanished along with the other CCG members, leaving only an unharmed Arima, most likely having won against Kaneki, leaving Kaneki's fate unknown. After the credits, it is shown that Touka has opened up a new café.

Arima then commits suicide, but before passing away, he reveals to Kaneki that the Washū Clan, that controls the CCG, is composed of Ghouls. Before she presumably dies as well, Eto learns of Arima's defeat and concludes that both had succeeded with their plan to raise Kaneki to become the "One-Eyed King", with the power to change the world. 9

Sui Ishida is best known for his dark fantasy series Tokyo Ghoul, a story about a young man named Ken Kaneki who gets transformed into a ghoul after encountering one. The series then ran from 2011 to 2014 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine, and was later adapted into a light novel and anime series in 2014.
Ken Kaneki is a young man who befriends the beautiful and enigmatic Rize Kamishiro, unaware that she is a ghoul.
