Lydell Douglas Mitchell (born May 30, 1949) is an American former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1972 to 1980. During his nine-season NFL career, Mitchell played for the Baltimore Colts , San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Rams .
