The University of Delaware (colloquially known as UD, UDel, or Delaware) is a privately governed, state-assisted [1] [2] land-grant research university in Newark, Delaware, United States. The 1960s was a period of much development for the business program. In 1965, the University of Delaware founded the College of Business and Economics and in 1968 economics professor Ruben Austin is appointed as the first dean. The undergraduate and graduate programs were accredited by the AACSB in 1966 and 1982 respectively. [2]
