One, simply replace the controller, because it won't go away on it's own. Two, try to fix it. Start by getting some electrical contact cleaner and spraying it in the sides of the gimbal, then spray it out with an air compressor or canned air, whatever. let it dry for a bit and test it again.
I recently found this app that lets you test your buttons, triggers, and thumbsticks shows you if you have stick drift like I just found out on my controller.
That sounds like drift; my controllers got it a few times and they also scrolled up/started walking with no input. You can try resetting the controller by pressing the pinhole at the back for 3-5 seconds, but it's unlikely to help and you probably need a new controller.
Reply reply. CheddarBayHazmatTeam. •. That would only (maybe) alleviate the problem in a vacuum because the stick drift varies by circumstance. Right stick drift. You'd want to make sure you have deadzones turned off though (if the game supports them (if I actually know how deadzones work)) Ah I don’t get that, any character I control stays still when I put the controller down even after 10mins, thought I had issues due to AC:Valhalla controls.
So, my Xbox 360 controller has been being a bit of a bitch to me lately, fist the cable started failing then the right stick began to "drift" a little to the left (if you don't know what stick drifting is or maybe you know it with another name, this means that when you move the stick to any direction it wont go back to the center thus this would provoke involuntary movements in your games like ...
