There's a very popular YTMND that discusses the infamous '89 Halloween Garfield strips. Honestly, I took one look at them and said, "The distorted, horrific vision of Jon's abandoned house is all in Garfield's imagination", but people love to blow things out of proportion. What's more baffling is why Jim Davis made Liz fall in love with Jon a ...
The comic strip's been suffering for quite some time now. Seems most of the jokes these days are: Jon's a pathetic loser, Garfield swattting his 847 trillionth spider of the year, and Garfield's lying flat on his back facing the ceiling and not moving an inch, complaining about how bored he is (ironically enough).-B.
The Garfield Movie is the newest feature based on Jim Davis’ famous comic strip. Directed by Mark Dindal, from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds, the movie started production almost a decade ago at Alcon Entertainment, though in the meantime Sony Pictures had purchased the film rights for global distribution.
Hey. I have some questions about Snoopy and Garfield. I have practically seen a lot of their cartoons and read their comics. But I'm confused about some stuff: 1. Like Garfield's rival, Nermal, does Snoopy have a "dog" rival? Does he have A rival? 2. Like Snoopy's previous owner, Lila...
I admit "Garfield" has its flaws, as does everything else, but I am a big fan of the comic, it is witty, humorous, and interesting, and I think Garfield makes a fantastic cat counterpart to the lovable dog Snoopy, and if I remember correctly, Jim Davis admires Charles Schultz, as he put his inspiration that he got from the "Peanuts" gang into ...
Many comic strips have taken the idea of the human relationship with animals and expressed them in humorous, charming, introspective ways. There’s Garfield, Red and Rover, and even Phoebe and Her Unicorn to name a few. Furbabies is a newer comic strip by Nancy Beiman that began being published on GoComics in June of 2023. Beiman brings her ...

Garfield & Friends was unquestionably one of the best animated programs of the late 80's and early 90's on CBS. I also liked the U.S. Acres cartoons. Sadly, two of the program's voice-over talent are now gone, namely Lorenzo Music(Garfield) and Howard Morris(Roy the duck).

Beiman brings her skills as a professor of animation and her long-time career as an animator who worked on Disney movies, Warner Bros., and even Peanuts ...
Garfield is kind of a tricky proposition for bringing on screen, because like many comic strips, it exists in a space that doesn't really exist in American film and TV any more, a world of cartoon characters that is entirely G-Rated but isn't necessarily strictly for kids or at least not pitched directly at them.
