Definitely- Lucifer is the King of Hell AND an Angel on the level of Seraph or possibly higher. Alastor is a powerful Overlord but even if he had the power he’d get from a deal for every soul in Hell, Lucifer would toy with him like he did. Alastor has no chance outside of a musical showdown or insult back and forth. Reply.
Alastor knows that Charlie would never let him come to harm, and that Lucifer would never purposefully do anything to hurt his own relationship with his daughter. It's the same reason Valentino wasn't afraid of Charlie. He knew Angel wouldn't allow Charlie to harm him. He was scared of him.
Alastor is on Lilith's leash and thus likely bound to protect Charlie and her hotel. Probably made a deal to learn how he could usurp lucifer Alastor has been scheming on a way to break this leash for the whole of these 7 years and come up wholly empty handed. But now he's finally come up with a way to do so. But every piece must fit perfectly.
Alastor knows that he can't win in the Being Powerful and Having Resources department compared to Lucifer, so he urgently needs to interrupt with SOMETHING. And it helps a lot that he pokes at Lucifer's weak point, being an absent father, to remind Charlie that Lucifer isn't reliable. Alastor wants to increase her daddy issues so that she will ...
Either Alastor recognizes Lucifer is stronger than him and thus his “control” over the hotel could be threatened, or Alastor has a personal reason to hate Lucifer. If the latter, it could be whoever Alastor is in debt to would rather Lucifer stay out of the picture. Alastor is there to take advantage of Charlie.
Alastor knows Lucifer isn't a savage that goes unga bunga as soon as he's provoked. The whole thing was basically a petty duel about who is the better "sugar daddy" for Charlie. Which is petty because Charlie isn't even doing a competition between the two.
Viv has stated that Lucifer and Alastor have mutual respect for each other. As seen in Helluva Boss too, even the deadly sins don't feel the need to show off their power, and it seems Lucifer also doesn't. Alastor doesn't fear Lucifer and their banter was more like a battle of style and wits than anything else.
Because he sees right through Alastors facade, he knows behind the pomp and ceremony that Alastor is really bad news and doesn't like him being near his daughter. In this picture alone, look at Lucifer's grin after exposing Alastor with barely 3 simple sentences. Reply reply. FULMINAGE.
The reason why Alastor is so powerful is because he is Lucifer in disguise and/or is in possession of Alastor. With only going on what some of Charlie's family pictures show, Alastor and Lucifer appear very different but share some minor mannerisms and traits. They both have a staff/cane, similar build/body, similar facial expression, and ...
Lucifer. Alastor is smart and more powerful than the average sinnner. However, he lost against Adam and nearly died. Lucifer almost killed Adam and would’ve done it if it weren’t for Charlie. I think it’d be a tough fight, since Alastor knows how to play with Lucifer’s emotions, but Lucifer would come out on top. 2.
