Noah (formerly known as Peterpan; and later stylized as NOAH) are an Indonesian rock band formed as Peterpan in Bandung, West Java in 2000, which consisted of six members: Ariel, Andika, Indra, Lukman, Reza and Uki, with Andika as the leader. Most of their lyrics are written by Ariel, who is the band's lead vocalist.

Peterpan's vocalist, Ariel wrote "Menghapus Jejakmu" for their third studio album Hari yang Cerah. After composing the song's arrangement, Peterpan found the result unfitting for their genre and decided to exclude it from the album. [1] After the decision was made, Ariel planned to give the song to Indonesian singer Bunga Citra Lestari. [2]

For Alexandria soundtrack album, Peterpan tried to create a different sound and did some experimentation for the album's music, including in the lyrics-writing. Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine ranked the album #116 on "The 150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time" list., [1] A song from this album, "Kukatakan Dengan Indah", got a place at #140 on Rolling Stone Indonesia's "150 Greatest Indonesian Songs of All Time" list.
