Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ siʁ syʁ mɛʁ], lit. "Saint-Cyr-on-Sea"; Provençal Occitan: Sant Ceri) is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. It is located on the Mediterranean coast, on the departmental border with Bouches-du-Rhône.
Maurice Asselin was born on 24 June 1882 in Orléans. [1] His father was a coachman, and his mother ran the tobacco shop La Pipe d'or at the corner of rue Sainte-Catherine and rue Jeanne-d'Arc, before they took over a restaurant called L'Auberge de la rue Sainte-Catherine.
