Okotoks (/ ˈ oʊ k ə t oʊ k s / OH-kə-tohks, originally / ˈ ɒ k ə t ɒ k s / OK-ə-toks) is a town in the Calgary Region of Alberta, Canada. It is on the Sheep River , approximately 38 km (24 mi) south of Downtown Calgary .
