After the successful hit "Fikir" in 2019, the group sought solo career, starting from Rahel Getu. Hachalu Hundessa was a popular singer whose politically tinged songs were popular during the 2015 and 2016 Ethiopian protests and made him "a political symbol of the Oromo people's aspirations and catapulted Abiy Ahmed to power."
