The Music Goes 'Round is a 1936 American musical comedy film directed by Victor Schertzinger and starring Harry Richman, Rochelle Hudson and Walter Connolly. [1] It was produced and distributed by Columbia Pictures .
In 1992, the song was used as the soundtrack for a very popular, long-running stop-motion animated UK TV commercial for Weetabix Ltd's Weetos breakfast cereal. The advert featured Professor Weeto singing the song (with revised lyrics, recorded to replicate the sound of the 1936 original), while he demonstrated the operation of his Weetos Machine.

Riley played both trumpet and trombone, and by 1927 was working in New York City, playing trumpet in Jimmy Durante's band at the Parody Club. He soon found work in several local bands as a trombonist, then co-led an ensemble with Eddie Farley, with whom he held a regular gig at the Onyx Club and wrote several songs including "The Music Goes Round and Round".
