Shrewsbury Town Council is the town council of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, established in April 2009 as part of structural changes to local government in England that abolished Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council and created in its place the unitary Shropshire Council. [1]
This is a list of electoral divisions and wards in the ceremonial county of Shropshire in the West Midlands. All changes since the re-organisation of local government following the passing of the Local Government Act 1972 are shown. The number of councillors elected for each electoral division or ward is shown in brackets.
The 2025 Shropshire Council election will be held on Thursday 1 May 2025 to elect all 74 councillors to Shropshire Council in England. [2] It will take place on the same day as other council elections in the United Kingdom. Shropshire Council is currently held by the Conservatives, who won the previous Council election in 2021.
Cantor joined the West Hartford town council in 2004 and became Deputy Mayor in 2012. In 2016 she became Mayor of West Hartford, her first two projects were the designation of a town Poet Laureate and making the town a “heart safe community." [1] Even though West Hartford is an affluent town of 63,000 the office is unpaid. [4]

Scott Slifka (born Robert Scott Slifka; March 5, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American politician and the former mayor of West Hartford, Connecticut. A Democrat, Slifka was first elected to the West Hartford Town Council in 2001. He served as mayor from 2004 to 2016.
