Edwin Ewing Roberts (December 12, 1870 – December 11, 1933) was an American attorney and politician from Nevada. He is best known for his service as a United States representative from 1911 to 1919, and mayor of Reno, Nevada from 1923 to 1933.
James Stephen Ewing (/ ˈ juː ɪ ŋ / YOO-ing; December 25, 1866 in Pittsburgh – May 16, 1943 in New York City) was an American pathologist. He was the first professor of pathology at Cornell University and discovered a form of bone cancer that was later named after him, Ewing sarcoma .
The hospital was named after Dr. James Ewing (1866-1943), who had pioneered in cancer research and was featured on the cover of a 1931 Time Magazine issue as "Cancer Man Ewing."
