Jacobinte Swargarajyam marked the fourth collaboration between Shaan and Vineeth, following Malarvaadi Arts Club (2010), Thattathin Marayathu (2012) and Thira (2013). Shaan composed the entire soundtrack within two weeks of November 2015, along with other albums for Adi Kapyare Kootamani (2015) and Vettah (2016) and completed scoring the film within a week.
The song is indefinitely repetitive, in a similar manner to "The Song That Never Ends", "Yon Yonson" or "Michael Finnegan." The latter two songs --this song and Michael Finnegan-- are heard in the Wee Sing series (books and audio). Versions of the song appear in other languages, such as the Spanish rendition, "Juan Paco Pedro de la Mar".

Minari (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to the 2020 film of the same name released by Milan Records on December 11, 2020. The score, composed by Emile Mosseri, met with critical acclaim and has been nominated for numerous accolades including the Academy Award for Best Original Score and BAFTA Award for Best Original Music, among others. It was originally released on LP and cassette in 1988 as English Rebel Songs 1381–1914. This version was released on CD in 1994 by One Little Indian Records . It was re-recorded in 2003 , with two additional tracks, as English Rebel Songs 1381–1984 , released on the band's newly formed MUTT Records label.
The band worked with many other songwriters and musicians on the album.
