Aleksandar Makedonski was formed in 1986 in Skopje, then in socialist Yugoslavia as an offshoot of the prominent punk rock group Badmingtons, and it included the frontman Vladimir Petrovski - Karter (guitar, vocals), Dejan Škartov-Deko (), Zoran Janković - Bajo (bass guitar), Vladimir Dimovski and the female singer Melita Stefanovska (backing vocals).
