Stephen F. Austin High School, more commonly known as Austin High, is a public high school in Austin, Texas, United States, and part of the Austin Independent School District (AISD). Founded in 1881, it is one of the oldest public high schools west of the Mississippi River , and was one of the first public high schools in the state of Texas.
Several families had settled in the community and a sawmill was built in Medina circa 1865. A post office was established at Medina in 1880 and the community developed a gin, a corn mill, a hotel, a private bank, three general stores, and two churches serving 150 residents by the end of the next decade.

The school serves students from Hinckley, Granger, Sharon, Montville, Copley, Medina, and Brunswick townships. In 2022, Highland High School was ranked by #1,055 nationally and #41 in Ohio by U.S. News. [2]
