Joel Laslett Pott (born 20 January 1979 in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England) is an English musician. He was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the indie band Athlete between 2000 and their split in 2013.
The song was written by lead singer Joel Pott about his daughter, who became ill after birth and was rushed to intensive care.
