Only district 9. He's got a producer credit and was allegedly heavily involved. His absence from other Blomkamp films really shows. Given the rest of Blomkamp's films I think Jackson's involvement in District 9 doesn't get enough credit.
I just had District 9 pop into my head (again) and the urge to watch it again. Just me or is it a real good movie with so many things to think about after. Why and how they got here and how did they evolve. I just wanted to give the movie a shoutout because I just think it is a really good movie. Well made intruiging story and some nice action.
This contains spoilers for District 9. On its surface, District 9 is a story about racial oppression. The concept is based on the story of the real District 6. But I think it is worth taking a closer look at the Prawns and their reasons for coming to Earth. Let's begin with a few facts:

The tour was very cool and included some props made for District 9 that didn't end up in the film, including a cool prawn miner outfit and a prawn explosive collar. There were no pictures allowed during the actual tour, with the exception of the shop's small museum - this was the only District 9 themed display in the museum.
"Like Alive in Joburg, the short film on which the feature film is based, the setting of District 9 is inspired by historical events during the apartheid era, particularly alluding to District Six, an inner-city residential area in Cape Town, declared a "whites only" area by the government in 1966, with 60,000 people forcibly removed to Cape ...
Without spoilers, the movie is about an alien ship that lands over top of Johannesburg, and the humans let the aliens live in "District 9" under the ship, which turns into a crime filled slum. The story really starts when our main character is tasked with handing out eviction notices to all the aliens when the government decides to move the ...
District 9 is based on an earlier film of his called Alive in Joburg, which uses a similar opening scene in which people on the street are interviewed about the 'aliens.' The thing is, Blomkamp didn't ask them about aliens; he asked them about refugees.
Lookwise it's a bit like District 9 or Tetra Val set in Vietnam. Certain VFX looks like they used Rotamation like D9, where actors are on real sets/locations then tracked/rotoscoped out and replaced by CG. Saw some Weta Workshop credits (props/vehicles/art?) with VFX by ILM. I liked it and it was great to see something original.
In the movie, District 9 had the oldest stunt actors, which made me wonder if that was meant to imply 9 hadn’t won in the longest or even if those were the only two victors from 9. The girl from 10, the boy from 9, and the male victor from 5 were the first deaths in their respective games, and the tributes from 6 and 9 never made it to the ...
