The Volusia County Property Appraiser’s Office appraises over 350,000 parcels annually, which consist of Real Property, Tangible Personal Property and Centrally Assessed properties. With this volume of work, we expect that some may not always agree with the valuation of their property.
The office of the Property Appraiser establishes the value of the property, and the Volusia County Council, Volusia County School Board, city commissioners and other levying bodies set the millage rates. One mill equals $1 per $1,000 of property value.
