    I went back and looked at the History of Video games page concerning generations. A lot of good material there. One of the requirements for a gen is hardware. There is a handy graphic showing each system listed under generations. Switch and Atari VCS (inexplicably) are listed for two generations. The *ONLY* two systems straddling more than one gen.
