Branson Landing opened in the summer of 2006 [21] on the Lake Taneycomo waterfront in downtown Branson. The lakefront project includes retail space with Bass Pro Shops and Belk as anchors in an outdoor shopping mall of stores and restaurants.
The architect of the Landing Mall was Edward Tanner, who was also the architect of the old Kansas City Missouri School District Building on 12th and McGee Street in Downtown. The J.C. Nichols company commissioned local artist Jac T Bowen to make a medley of 30 almost life-sized animal sculptures that children could climb on for the mall. [1]
For most of its length, the route follows Glenstone Avenue, a major retail corridor in Springfield. Glenstone Avenue is an expressway from US 60 to Battlefield Road. At the corner of Battlefield and Glenstone lies Battlefield Mall, the region's largest shopping mall. Business 65 continues north as a four-lane arterial road.
The mall has a gross leasable area of roughly 700,000 square feet (65,000 m 2). [1] The shopping center is surrounded by various attractions and offers over 110 retail and restaurant outlets, including Dave & Buster's and Yard House. Popular department stores include Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Ann Taylor, Kate Spade, Nike, TJ Maxx, and H&M.
The new restaurant is replacing three Barefoot Landing stores in North Myrtle Beach.
