Topsham (/ ˈ t ɒ p ʃ əm /, also / ˈ t ɒ p s əm /) is a town in Devon, England, located on the east side of the River Exe, immediately north of its confluence with the River Clyst and the former's estuary, between Exeter and Exmouth.

The town of Topsham is located on the north bank of the Androscoggin River, opposite the town of Brunswick in the western part of Maine's Mid Coast region. Area for a town center was set aside in the 1639, but the town was abandoned during conflicts with local indigenous persons of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.

2019 photo. The house was built about 1800 by William Randall, who was one of Topsham's second wave of settlers, arriving in 1766. It is possible that this house incorporates parts of his first house. Randall was a man of means, who occupied a prominent position in local affairs.
The Topsham Fairgrounds Grandstand stands near the southeastern portion of the racing oval on the grounds of the Topsham Fair. It is a long, rectangular structure, with a gabled roof. The side facing the oval is open, with tiered seating divided into 18 bays by posts.

The Elwin Chase House stands a short way south of the village of East Topsham, on the east side of the Topsham-Corinth Road. It is a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story wood-frame structure, with a front-facing gabled roof and clapboarded exterior. The main facade, facing toward the street, is three bays wide, with the entrance in the leftmost bay.
