MurmurHashAligned2 (32-bit, x86)—Slower, but does aligned reads (safer on some platforms). MurmurHash64A (64-bit, x64)—The original 64-bit version. Optimized for 64-bit arithmetic. MurmurHash64B (64-bit, x86)—A 64-bit version optimized for 32-bit platforms. It is not a true 64-bit hash due to insufficient mixing of the stripes. [10]

The lookup3 function consumes input in 12 byte (96 bit) chunks. [9] It may be appropriate when speed is more important than simplicity. Note, though, that any speed improvement from the use of this hash is only likely to be useful for large keys, and that the increased complexity may also have speed consequences such as preventing an optimizing compiler from inlining the hash function.
Non-cryptographic hash functions optimized for software frequently involve the multiplication operation. Since in-hardware multiplication is resource-intensive and frequency-limiting, ASIC-friendlier designs had been proposed, including SipHash (which has an additional benefit of being able to use a secret key for message authentication), NSGAhash, and XORhash.

SHA-2: A family of two similar hash functions, with different block sizes, known as SHA-256 and SHA-512. They differ in the word size; SHA-256 uses 32-bit words where SHA-512 uses 64-bit words. There are also truncated versions of each standard, known as SHA-224, SHA-384, SHA-512/224 and SHA-512/256. These were also designed by the NSA.
