Not sure about autocheck, but if the dealers use it, I would always use an independent paid VIN lookup service in addition to whatever the dealer claims.

There's a free app called "orto vehicle history" that will show you what I assume is pretty much what you'd find on carfax. Works pretty well on my android, not sure about iPhone though.
