A four-year, high school located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Unionville High School enrolls approximately 1,300 students. Accredited by the Middle Atlantic States Association of Secondary Schools, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Unionville High School has received state recognition for excellence and high achievement in the preparation of students for higher education.
The Ontario government accepted the idea, but needed to wait for a new high school to be built. When Unionville High School was under construction, the government decided it was a prime opportunity to initiate the program. The school was finished and opened to the public in 1985, with the schools west wing constructed in the Spring of 2002. [3] [4]

U.S. Route 1 bypasses Kennett Square just to its north and the area is assigned to the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District. Unionville High School, the only one in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District, is located on Unionville Road (Pennsylvania State Route 82), approximately 2 miles north of the Borough of Kennett Square.
It was formed in 1972 when Unionville High School and Sebewaing High School merged. The school has won 2 state football championships, seven girls' softball championships (2006, 2007, 2009, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2021), and multiple state wrestling titles, among many other state championship appearances and high advancement in playoffs.
