It appears to me that DeWalt realized the quality issue and re-designed the electronics and wiring. Earlier models used "push-in' wire connectors, similar to wire nuts. The wire connectors are prone to intermittent open connections, leaving the chainsaw without power. But, you may ask why the chainsaw starts for 2 or 3 seconds and then stops.
I just bought a DCCS620 20V max chainsaw. If I press the lock and the trigger, nothing happens. If I press the lock and the trigger while pulling back on the hand guard, the chainsaw just clicks, and the chain moves a quarter inch, much like this gentleman, but that's it. The manual says that you must set the chain brake.
I’m a contractor and own mostly DEWALT except for my cordless nailers, Milwaukee and hitachi have them beat, and I love my 20v saw and pole cutter. With that said I still own an echo 2 stroke and there is a time and place for both. Can’t comment on the 60v but to think and battery powered saw and 2 stroke are the same is just crazy.
For an affordable cost, you can experience a lightweight, and versatile table saw that provides you security and strength, enabling you to cut through a variety of woods. The cordless DeWalt 20v offers an excellent performance brushless engine with 12 inches bar length. Hello: Bought this 12" chainsaw kit with battery and charger (my first ...
Much happier tool! I have the dewalt 60v flexvolt chainsaw and I've been very happy with it. Good power and runtime I've been impressed with how well it zips right through trees. I've used the 20v chainsaw and it's good and all but I feel it is much slower and has noticeably less torque.
I’m on my 3rd chainsaw in 60 days now! All new machines, oiler stops working after 5-6 battery changes, 5-6 hrs. Of use. I have a 6ah &9ah batteries. I called dewalt after 1st One stopped oiling after having maybe 10 days. They told me to call local dewalt repair facility. Guy in Tucson shop said they have seen about 7 saws with same issue.
I’ve had good performance from the 16” Flexvolt chainsaw, and the pole saw is a good tool as well. This small saw isn’t great: the chain speed is quite slow: you need to apply a fair amount of pressure to get the torque of its electric motor working, in my experience.
The red to the motor, and thin red are connected to the battery + when trigger is pulled. Found the thin red wire cut from being pinched between the aluminum pole and the plastic pole coupling connector. Drilled out the rivets, soldered and heat shrink sleeved the repair. Works perfectly now. 3.
1. Superb-Wish-1335. • 7 min. ago. Had the Dewalt pole saw and sold it to my father in law. He likes it but he’s on an acre. Just ordered a Redmax pole saw. I found the Dewalt to be slow and kinda floopy. It was ok without the extension piece on it. Also didn’t like not having an engine as a counterbalance.
DCCS620 20v chainsaw - My Experience. Ok so on Feb 27th I bought the 20v chainsaw from dewalt since it has largely good reviews on the internet. I’m not expecting to go drop 40” round trees in the woods but falling a few small trees on the property, and cutting them up into firewood doesn’t seem like too much to ask.
