In 1924 and 1925, Lexington again offered two versions: the Concord, a 65 hp (48 kW) six on a 119 in (3023 mm) wheelbase, and the Minute Man, a 72 hp (54 kW) six on a 123 in (3124 mm) wheelbase. Body styles included 5 and 7 passenger tourer, sedan, and coupe, 5 passenger Royal Coach, and 5 passenger Brougham .
Today, the Bill Gatton Automotive Group includes Chevrolet-Cadillac, Honda and Nissan dealerships in Bristol, Tennessee, and an Acura-Mazda dealership in Johnson City, Tennessee. It is a specialized plant assembling GM's Y-body sports cars, including the Chevrolet Corvette and, formerly, the Cadillac XLR. It was first opened on June 1, 1981. Concord is located in northwestern Lewis County on the south bank of the Ohio River. Kentucky Route 8 has its western terminus in the city and leads southeast 15 miles (24 km) to Vanceburg, the Lewis county seat. Kentucky Route 57 has its eastern terminus in Concord and leads southwest 11 miles (18 km) to Tollesboro.
A post office called Chevrolet was established in 1918, and remained in operation until 1992. [3] The community was named after the Chevrolet Series 490, the first car seen on local roads. [4] A 1935 newspaper account reported the town had 800 inhabitants, and about 60 cars, 30 of which were Chevrolets. [5]
