It ended high school classes due to a lower number of students. By 2018 it became known as the Greene Intermediate Center and was operated by the South Bend school district. James Whitcomb Riley High School is a high school in South Bend, Indiana; serving most of the city's south side. The school is named in honor of the "Hoosier Poet", James Whitcomb Riley. The school is operated by South Bend Community School Corporation and governed by the SBSC's Board of School Trustees.
