Yeah, images of the characters is fine under fair use policy. Not to mention I've seen other anime character listings (Full Metal Alchemist is the main one that comes to mind) use character images without explicit permission. They're under the fair use as well, I'd assume. Speaking of pictures I uploaded a better pic of Vash on the front page.
