A reflex arc is a neural pathway that controls a reflex. In vertebrates , most sensory neurons do not pass directly into the brain , but synapse in the spinal cord . This allows for faster reflex actions to occur by activating spinal motor neurons without the delay of routing signals through the brain.
In a reflex arc, an action potential never travels to the brain for processing and so results in a much quicker reaction. When a stimulus (pain) is encountered, the signal from that stimulus will travel up the sensory neuron to the spinal column.
The corneal reflex, also known as the blink reflex or eyelid reflex, [1] is an involuntary blinking of the eyelids elicited by stimulation of the cornea (such as by touching or by a foreign body), though it could result from any peripheral stimulus. Stimulation should elicit both a direct and consensual response (response of the opposite eye).

Hanger reflex - reflex of unclear purpose that causes the head to rotate to the right when the top sides of the head are under pressure, named because it can be easily activated with a coat hanger; Hering–Breuer reflex — is a reflex triggered to prevent over-inflation of the lung
Light from a single point of a distant object and light from a single point of a near object being brought to a focus. The accommodation reflex (or accommodation-convergence reflex) is a reflex action of the eye, in response to focusing on a near object, then looking at a distant object (and vice versa), comprising coordinated changes in vergence, lens shape (accommodation) and pupil size.
The Bainbridge reflex is attenuated by both anticholinergics and beta-adrenergic receptor antagonists in innervated hearts (as one or the other afferent part of the reflex arc mediating the Bainbridge reflex is blocked), [15] and can be entirely abolished by bilateral vagotomy (as the afferent portion of the reflex arc is entirely destroyed).
