In 1994, the Power Wheels Line was bought by Mattel, who placed it under their Fisher-Price subsidiary. With the addition of new vehicle licenses the new Power Wheels lines did well. In 1999, Fisher-Price announced the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle ride-on toy [2] – which contributed to a year of record sales for the entire product line.

Learning Curve (RC2) got acquired by Tomy, who continued making the line until they gave up the rights to Fisher-Price. In 2013, Fisher Price acquired the Thomas Wooden Railway line from TOMY.
