On September 26, 2014, four members of the North Central Texas College Lions women's softball team died, and 15 others suffered injuries, when the bus in which they were passengers was struck by a tractor-trailer near Davis, Oklahoma. North Central Texas College (NCTC), a five-campus community college system, is headquartered in Gainesville, with the main campus being located on the west side of town. The college, which the Texas Legislature designates as serving Cooke County, [ 19 ] has locations in Gainesville, Bowie , Corinth , Denton , Graham , and Flower Mound .
Flower Mound is an incorporated town [Note 1] located in Denton and Tarrant counties in the U.S. state of Texas. [4] [5] Located northwest of Dallas and northeast of Fort Worth adjacent to Grapevine Lake, the town derives its name from a prominent 12.5-acre (5.1 ha) mound located in the center of town.

Corinth is home to one of two branch campuses of North Central Texas College in Denton County (the other being in Flower Mound). The majority of Denton County, Corinth included, is in the boundary of North Central Texas College. [20]
The station also served as a hub for two shuttle routes that serviced the Denton, Corinth, and Flower Mound campuses of North Central Texas College. [15] Both routes were eliminated in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [16]
The district serves the cities of Justin, Roanoke, Trophy Club, Northlake, Marshall Creek, Corral City, and small portions of Flower Mound and Southlake in Denton County. The Wise County towns of Aurora, Rhome, Pecan Acres, Newark, and portions of New Fairview also lie within the district.
