Misamis Occidental (Cebuano: Kasadpang Misamis; Subanen: Sindepan Mis'samis; Maranao: Sedepan Misamis; Filipino: Kanlurang Misamis), officially the Province of Misamis Occidental, is a province located in the region of Northern Mindanao in the Philippines. Its capital is the city of Oroquieta while Ozamiz is the most-populous city.
Prior to gaining separate representation, areas now under the jurisdiction of Misamis Occidental were represented under the historical Misamis Province (1907–1931).. The approval of Act No. 3537 on November 2, 1929, split the old province into Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental, and provided the new provinces separate representations in the Philippine Assembly.
